ROOTED IN SERVICE & COMMITTED TO YOUR MISSION

Your mission is powerful, and I understand how challenging it can be to share your impact with the world.

When it comes to showcasing your real-world impact, you shouldn’t have to settle for reusing the same photos and videos.

Content Scarcity:

You don't have enough high-quality visual storytelling assets to share with your audience and donors.

The ROI Uncertainty:

You fear that spending precious dollars on a video project or a professional photographer could ultimately fail to drive real funding, engagement, or results.

The Creative Roadblocks Organizations Face

The Vision Gap:

You worry an outside camera crew or photographer won't understand your community or bring your mission to life.

Lack of time, budget & resources:

Your team simply lacks the hours, specialized skills, or agency budget to create cinematic content.

Meet your guide,
Wes Kinard.

Hi, I’m Wes Kinard, Founder and Creative Producer of Wes Kinard Media Productions, a Chicago-based media production company. I believe great storytelling should connect people to a purpose, communicate a clear message, resonate with your audience, and inspire meaningful action and preserve your legacy. I’m a passionate storyteller who provides clear creative direction, guides you through the process, and creates meaningful content that meets your needs and helps you achieve the results you’re looking for.

My experience spans video production, photography, journalism, editing, and strategic content creation. Whether you need a highlight reel, campaign video, event photography, or something in between, I’ll work with you from creative direction and production, through editing and final delivery.

Great work starts with listening, so I strive to understand your marketing goals, who you’re trying to reach, and what you want your story or event coverage to accomplish. From there, I make the message clear and the process collaborative, purposeful, and enjoyable, giving you a creative partner you can trust from the first conversation through final delivery.

How we work together

Discovery Call

We’ll discuss what you want to capture, who it’s for, and the story or moments that matter most—from a campaign or event to a wedding, milestone, or personal legacy. From there, I’ll build a custom content roadmap tailored to your goals and vision.

Secure Your Dates

Once you’ve chosen the package or service that’s right for you, you’ll receive a personalized client portal with your proposal, contract, and invoice. After your agreement is signed and your deposit is received, your production date is officially secured.

With the paperwork finalized, we’ll map out your project, shot lists, interview questions, and other key elements. We’ll also confirm delivery dates so your content is ready when you need it; whether for a campaign, ongoing marketing content, or a milestone celebration.

Plan Your Production

With the paperwork finalized, we’ll map out your project details, shot lists, interview questions, and other key elements. We’ll also confirm delivery dates so your content is ready when you need it; whether for a campaign, ongoing marketing content, or a milestone celebration.

I practice ethical storytelling

It’s important to me to treat every person in front of the camera with the utmost respect, whether I’m filming their story or capturing them as part of a program or event. I’m committed to protecting their safety and agency while keeping their dignity intact. I do not use photos or footage featuring minors for my own marketing unless your organization provides explicit permission. You should never have to explain to a family why their child’s image appeared on my website or social media without your knowledge or approval. I’ll work with you to understand and follow your organization’s guidelines, policies, and expectations, so everyone involved feels respected and protected throughout the process.
